I never stop creating art! I am always thinking about my next project.
I have been creating art since childhood, whether with my father in his commercial art studio, with children in the classroom, or in my studio. My main concentration, since retiring from teaching in the public schools, has been watercolors. I love to travel and find inspiration in the beautiful colors of landscapes.
I have had artwork accepted into a variety of exhibits and shows throughout New Jersey. Volunteering my time to a group called “Parade of Artists”, who teaches art history and appreciation in public elementary schools, keeps me connected, and brings my love of art to children. I also co-taught a series of classes called “Healing Through Art” which opened the world of watercolors for people going through a difficult time.
I have painted numerous commissions ranging from portraits of pets & houses to scenes from vacations. Working with clients to create a piece of art for their home or for a gift, brings me much joy. Many of the commissions have been used as wedding gifts, housewarming gifts, or for a special celebration. I have designed wedding invitations, response cards and programs for brides and grooms, too. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if there is a special painting I can paint for you!
While planning for my daughter’s wedding, I started to create necklaces out of the lace from her gown. I made several necklaces for her to use as very personal, memorable piece of jewelry to wear and to give as a unique gifts. As I said before, I am always thinking of the next project, as I was making these necklaces I took a piece of her lace and made a headband for her to wear during the reception. Her guests are still talking about the headband! For my sons wedding, I designed his invitations, response cards, place cards and Ketubah. What an honor!
I love creating custom art and I hope you find something to your liking in my shop. If you have something in mind, please feel free to consult with me. You can follow me on Instagram @janekreations. Enjoy!
